BOSTON – (Video) Governor Charlie Baker, Lt. Governor Karyn Polito and HHS Secretary Marylou Sudders provided an update on the Commonwealth’s response to COVID-19, including the recent progress of the Reopening Advisory Board.
Under the leadership of Lt. Governor Polito and Housing and Economic Development Secretary Mike Kennealy, the Advisory Board engaged with 23 industry associations and community coalitions over the last week and through the weekend. These groups represent over 100,000 businesses and more than 1.4 million workers, across key industries like high-tech, life sciences, construction, restaurants and more. The Board has also engaged with the Black Economic Council, the Latino Chamber of Commerce and the NAACP. In the coming days, the Board will continue its work, meeting with more groups and reviewing other input.
