Sunday City of Salem COVID-19 Update – Council on Aging Changes Transportation – Job Openings

SALEM – The City of Salem continues to advance measures to help slow the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), lessen impacts on healthcare providers responding to this evolving situation, and support Salem residents and businesses during this public health emergency. New Updates

  • Effective Wednesday April 8th, the Council on Aging will no longer provide transportation to grocery stores for seniors until further notice. Seniors who would like their groceries delivered to them during this public health emergency can fill out the form at salem.com/ask, email together@salem.com, or call the Council on Aging at 978-744-0924. Transportation will continue to be provided for necessary medical appointments.

Status of Cases

Due to the increased amount of testing, as of 4:00 p.m. on April 4, 2020, 64 Salem residents have tested positive for novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
