D3 North Final: St. Mary’s Girls Basketball Tops Amesbury 59-45 / Photos – Game notes soon

LOWELL – Tsongas Center – (Photos – Videos) The St. Mary’s girls basketball team will be advancing to the MIAA D3 State semi finals this week at Boston Garden (Wednesday 2 p.m.) Saturday they defeated Amesbury to win the North title 59-45. Olivia Matela led the Spartans with 14 points. Avery Hallinan led Amesbury with 22 points. Amesbury came to within four points (34-30) in the third quarter. St. Mary’s will meet Rockland at the TD Garden on Wednesday at 2 p.m. (State Semi Final)
