LOWELL – Tsongas Center – Jack Rodriguez scored 9 points in overtime leading Lynn English to a 73-63 win over Lowell in the MIAA Division One North Championship game. The game was tied 60-60 at the end of regulation. The game was tight from start to finish. English had a 5 point lead in the final minute only to have Lowell tie the game and then have a chance for the win at the end of regulation. English is now 22-2 while Lowell suffered there first loss of the year and end the season at 22-1. The Bulldogs also got a strong games from Jarnell Guzman (20 points), J.B. Mukeba (16 points), and Ademide Badmus (14 points) Lowell played a strong game and was led by a 22 point game from Carlos Nunez and 17 points from Ritchie Etienne. Lowell was held to just three points in OT. Lynn English will meet Mansfield in the MIAA D1 state semi final Tuesday night at TD Garden (7:15 p.m.)
