SWAMPSCOTT (Videos – Photos) The Swampscott boys basketball scored a 63-52 win over Wakefield Saturday night to wrap up their regular season (9-11) Both teams have qualified for the MIAA state tournament. The Big Blue were led by junior guard Andrew Augustin’s 26 points. Swampscott hit five 3 point shots in the second quarter moving their lead to 33-16 but Wakefield battled back several times. Late in the game Wakefield closed the Swampscott lead to 42-20 but the Big Blue followed with a 9-1 run to earn the win. Oscar Hale chipped in 11 points for Swampscott. Wakefield was led by Brett Okundaye (20 points), Quinn Bayers (16 points, and Ryan Marcus (11 points).
