Update: Victims in Saugus Murder – Suicide Identified

SAUGUS – From Carrie Kimball, Director of Communications, Essex District Attorney’s Office:

Please be advised that the men involved in yesterday’s fatal shooting in Saugus have been identified as:

Frank Trombetta was the man shot at the Mobil Station.  William McFeely was the suspect who was found dead in Everett.

Both men were 63 and from Everett.  They were brothers-in-law.

 

SAUGUS – Saugus Police responded to a reported shooting at a Mobil gas station at 2 Essex St. in Saugus shortly after noon today.   The male victim was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The suspect, a  63-year old adult male, fled in a 2016 white Mini Cooper, and was subsequently located deceased in his car at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.

The public’s safety is not at risk.

This matter remains under investigation by State and Saugus Police and the Essex County District Attorney’s Office.

As soon as additional information is available it will be released.
