PODCAST: A Conversation with Jared Eigerman, President of the Newburyport City Council

NEWBURYPORT – Jared Eigerman is beginning his seventh year as a Newburyport City Councilor and his first year as Newburyport City Council President.

Jared Eigerman has been serving on the Council since 2014. Born in Newburyport, he lived in Ward 2 and attended Brown School during the 1970s, with summers on Plum Island. After studying history at Harvard College, Jared earned graduate degrees in city planning and law at the University of California’s Berkeley and Hastings College campuses. For a decade, he lived and worked in San Francisco, first as a Deputy City Attorney and then in private practice, before returning to Newburyport. Jared represents real estate developers, mostly in Boston. Jared and his wife Andrea have two children, Imre and Beatrix. (From www.cityofnewburyport.com)
