Men’s College Basketball

Endicott 79 Wentworth 65

BEVERLY – The Endicott men’s basketball team defeated Wentworth, 79-65, on Wednesday evening at the MacDonald Gymnasium.

The Gulls started off the game strong opening with a 25-12 run. Jalen Echevarria (Lynn, Mass.) paced the Gulls in the opening run with 12 points.

Meanwhile, in the second half, the Leopards brought the game within six points, (60-54) before Endicott went on a 19-11 run to end the game.

Echevarria paced the Gulls with 22 points on 9-12 shooting, while Keith Brown (Pelham, N.H) and Billy Arseneault (Lynnfield, Mass.) each had 12 points respectively.

Salem State 78 Framingham State 70

SALEM Hakeem Animashaun (Dedham, Mass.) posted 15 points, nine rebounds, five blocks, and four assists to power the Salem State Vikings to a 78-70 win over the Framingham State Rams on Wednesday evening. Animashaun energized the Vikings on both sides of the ball, helping Salem State to their first conference win. Salem State is now 2-15 and 1-4 in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC). Framingham State slips to 1-16 on the year and 0-4 in the MASCAC.


Women’s College Basketball

Endicott 67 Wentworth 44

BEVERLY – The Gulls held off the Leopards 67-44 late Wednesday night after a tight 7 point game in the first half at Macdonald Gymnasium.

Emily Pratt (Gardner, Mass.) paced the Gulls in scoring with 18 points. Following was Kaleigh Putnam (Wallingford, Conn.) with 13 points to go along with eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, Mikaela Rogers (Haverhill, Mass.) put in a huge 13 point, ten rebound double-double performance.

Framingham State 88 Salem State 60

SALEM – Mary Kate O’Day (Berlin, Mass.) produced 24 points (FG 5-11, FT 13-15), nine rebounds, three assists, and three steals to lift the Framingham State Rams to an 88-60 victory over the Salem State Vikings on Wednesday evening from Twohig Gymnasium. O’Day populated the stat sheet as the Rams advance to 12-5 on the season and 4-0 in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC). Salem State drops to 4-12 on the year and 1-4 in the MASCAC.
