NORTH READING (Videos – Photos) The Masconomet girls basketball picked up their 9th win of the season today in a 53-28 win at North Reading High School. Masco got a balanced scoring attack: Makayla Graves (11 points), Jenna DiPietro (10 points), Cally McSweeney (9 points), and Olivia Filmore (8 points). North Reading was led by a 9 point performance from Lauren Sullivan. Filmore led Masco in rebounding (14) and the team hit 56% of their three point shots. The turning point in the game came midway through the second quarter as Masco had a three point lead (18-15) and went on a 16-0 run to close out the first half taking a 34-15 lead at the half. The game also featured a coaching match-up, first year North Reading coach Bob Romeo is the former head coach at Masconomet while Shannon Kirwan is also in first year with Masco.
