PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — The Endicott men’s ice hockey team defeated No. 10 nationally ranked Salve Regina, 4-2, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Saturday night at the Portsmouth Abbey Rink.

Trailing 2-0 after the first period, Endicott scored four unanswered goals — including three in the third period alone — to come away with the victory.

Jake Simons (Coral Springs, Fla.) buried two tallies, while Zach Mazur (Lancaster, N.Y.) scored the game-tying goal and Thomas Albert (Reading, Mass.) potted the game-winner late in the third period.


Women’s College Hockey

Endicott 4 University of New England 0

BEVERLY – The No. 10 nationally ranked Endicott women’s ice hockey team posted a 4-0 conference victory over the University of New England (UNE) on Saturday evening at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

The Gulls jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period and were never threatened the rest of the way.

Kat Keith (Westwood, Mass.) opened up the scoring with her fifth tally of the season at the 10:38 mark, while Ashlie Jones (Billerica, Mass.) and Michaela McNamara (Warwick, R.I.) buried goals two (15:34) and three (16:24) of the period less than one minute apart to take full control of the contest.

Men’s College Basketball

Worcester State 80 Salem State 67

Endicott 86 Roger Williams 61

BRISTOL, R.I.– The Endicott Men’s Basketball team defeated Roger Williams 86-61 Saturday afternoon at the Recreation Center Gymnasium.

Leading by four at the start of the second half (36-32), Endicott pulled away with a 16-3 run (52-35) over a span of 5:25. From there, the Gulls outscored the Hawks 34-26 to close out the contest.

Keith Brown (Pelham, N.H.) led the Gulls in scoring with 21 points. Following was Matt McDevitt (Cumberland, Maine) with 20 points and Billy Arseneault (Lynnfield, Mass.) with 13 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 assists.

Women’s College Basketball

Endicott 72 Roger Williams 65

BRISTOL, R.I. The Endicott women’s basketball team earned a hard-fought conference victory over Roger Williams University by a score of 72-65 on Saturday afternoon.

Emily Pratt (Gardner, Mass.) and Kaleigh Putnam (Wallingford, Conn.) highlighted the Gulls as the duo combined for 45 points. Pratt contributed 24 points and 10 rebounds (both game-highs), while Putnam had 21 points, three rebounds, two assists, a steal, and a block in the win.

Mikaela Rogers (Haverhill, Mass.) also notched 11 points and seven rebounds, while Morgan Bresnahan (Wilmington, Mass.) compiled six points, eight rebounds, and four blocks to conclude the list of individual highlights for Endicott.
