NEC Hockey: Gloucester Scores 3 in Third to Beat Danvers, 3-2 (Video, Photos)

GLOUCESTER – The Gloucester Fishermen (5-4-2) scored three goals in the third period to erase a 2-0 deficit and defeat the Danvers Falcons (5-7-0), 3-2.  Senior captain E.J. Field scored a short-handed goal at 13:57 of the third period to net the game-winner.  Jack Costanzo was credited with an assist.

Danvers senior captain Cal Mansfield got the Falcons on the board first at 3:19 of the second period with the assist going to Brett Baldassare.

At 8:16 of the second period, with James Camilia and Dillon Driscoll picking up the assists, Jimmy Thibodeau made it 2-0, Falcons.

Harry Marshall started Gloucester’s comeback when he scored (assist to Field) at the 2:30 mark of the third; followed by the game-tying score by Jeremy Abreau (assist by Costanzo) on a power play at 11:20.
