Men’s College Basketball

Endicott at Nichols – The Endicott men’s basketball team fell to Nichols College, 71-70, in a back-and-forth contest on Tuesday night.

Down by 11 (65-54) with 10:28 remaining, the Gulls went on a 17-4 run which was capped off by a Louis Ellis (Lynnfield, Mass.) three-pointer to give Endicott its first second-half lead over the Bison, 70-69 with 1:27 to go.

Nichols guard DeAnte Bruton (New London, Conn.) then hit a jump shot from the top of the key with just 56 seconds left in the game to give Nichols a 71-70 advantage that held true the rest of the way.

Jalen Echevarria (Lynn, Mass.) paced Endicott with 16 points in addition to six rebounds. Matt McDevitt (Cumberland, Maine.) and Ellis closely followed with 13 points each.
