LYNN – Report from Essex County District Attorney’s Office – A shooting death is under investigation in Lynn according to Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett and Lynn Police Chief Mike Mageary. The victim: Bryan Omar Mendez, 25 years old, last known address in Worcester. The homicide remains under investigation. No arrests have been made.
Lynn Police responded to a report of shots fired in the vicinity of Lander and Howard Streets at 5:08 this morning. A male, suffering from a gun shot wound, was transported to Salem Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The matter is under investigation by the Essex District Attorney’s Office, the Essex State Police Detective Unit and Lynn Police.
