SALEM – The Office of Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker announces that Paul Morey, 50, of Salem, has been arraigned for the murder of Patricia Donaldson, 42, of Salem. Salem Police responded to a wellbeing check at a residence on Cabot Street in Salem on the evening of Tuesday, September 8th. There, they located Donaldson and pronounced her deceased.
Following extradition to Massachusetts from New Hampshire, today in Salem District Court Morey was charged with murder. He entered a plea of not guilty before the Hon. Randy Chapman and was ordered held without bail, without prejudice. Assistant District Attorney Stefanie Stanbro handled the arraignment on behalf of the Commonwealth. Morey was represented by attorney Brian Kelley. Morey is scheduled to return to court for a probable cause hearing on Friday, October 16th.
