City of Peabody Announces New Three-Year Agreement with Cataldo Ambulance

Mayor Edward A. Bettencourt, Jr. is pleased to announce that Peabody has reached a new
three-year agreement with Cataldo Ambulance, the city’s long-time provider of
emergency medical services. The extension begins July 1, 2026, and continues through
June 30, 2029. The City also retains an option for an additional two-year extension
through June 30, 2031.

Mayor Bettencourt noted that the new agreement provides the City with an additional
Basic Life Support (BLS) vehicle, expanding the level of service available to residents.
He said the added unit will help meet the needs of a growing city and represents an
important benefit of the contract.

“Peabody has been well served by Cataldo Ambulance for many years,” said Mayor
Bettencourt. “In addition to providing exceptional emergency services to our residents,
Cataldo has proven to be a tremendous community partner, regularly participating in
major community programs — including the International Festival, Senior Day at
Brooksby Farm, and the Holiday Stroll & Tree Lighting

.
“As always, we are immensely appreciative of our partnership with the City,” said
Dennis Cataldo, CEO & President. “We are proud to provide care to all those that live,
work and play in this great community.”

Mayor Bettencourt also noted Cataldo’s investment in the community through its Foster
Street facility, which houses several vehicles and staff and serves as an important base of
operations within the city.
