Bruce Tobey loved Gloucester in a way that was steady, humble, and deeply personal. He wasn’t in it for recognition — he simply believed in his city and its people, and he gave them everything he had, both in public office and in private life. He showed up. He listened. He cared. And Gloucester families are better off because he chose to serve. His passing is a real loss for the community he devoted his life to. My heart is with his family and with all who loved him.
