Endicott College Basketball: Gloucester’s Montagnino Claims CNE Player of the Week Honors

BEVERLY — Endicott men’s basketball graduate forward Marcus Montagnino (Gloucester) has been named the Conference of New England’s (CNE) Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.

In Endicott’s 2-0 week, Montagnino was once again a leading figure for the Gulls.

He averaged 25.5 points (47.1% FG, 55.5% 3PT, 87.5% FT), 7.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.5 steals for the Blue and Green over the two-game stretch.

On Wednesday at UNE, he led the Gulls in a wire-to-wire 103-72 win over the Nor’easters. He finished with 22 points (8-17 FG, 2-5 3PT, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, and three assists in just 23 minutes played.

Then, on Saturday, he was clutch down the stretch to defeat Hartford. He produced 29 points (8-17 FG, 3-4 3PT, 10-12 FT), six rebounds, four steals, and three assists in 39 minutes of play. 23 of his 29 points came in the second half to fuel the Gulls’ comeback win.

This is Montagnino’s ninth career CNE Player of the Week award, and fourth this season (1/6/25, 1/13/25, 1/21/25, 1/27/25, 2/24/25, 11/17/25, 1/5/26, 1/26/26).
