Picture fire pits crackling under the winter sky, stunning ice mosaics catching the light, and steaming hot cocoa warming hands as neighbors connect and discover what lies ahead for 2026’s milestone celebration. The launch party combines winter festivities with meaningful opportunities for civic engagement, creating an unforgettable afternoon for families and community members.
Event Highlights
- Winter Wonderland Atmosphere: Gather around crackling fire pits with hot cocoa and complimentary s’mores and hot cocoa while taking in the beauty of stunning ice mosaics making their Salem debut.
- Complimentary Food & Beverages: As you enter the building, enjoy free food and drinks inspired by Salem’s 400-year culinary journey. The menu was curated and prepared by the talented students of the Salem High School CTE Culinary Arts Program. Additional food will be available for purchase, with proceeds supporting the Black Cat Cafe and the Culinary Program.
- Something for Everyone: While kids enjoy supervised activities in their own dedicated area, adults can explore the exciting programming planned for 2026’s celebration and connect with organizations shaping Salem’s future.
- Silent Auction: Bid on local treasures and unique experiences donated by community partners. All proceeds fuel Salem 400+ programs throughout the year.

This historic milestone offers an opportunity to honor Salem’s rich heritage while strengthening connections and shaping the city’s shared future. The initiative features diverse programming that engages residents of all ages and backgrounds in celebrating the past, present, and future of this remarkable city.
