LATEST MIAA POWER RANKINGS

Tonight kicks-off the 8th weekend of high school football. The Northeastern Conference game of the night features Marblehead at Masconomet with a 6:30 game time. Both teams are unbeaten in league play, Masco is 6-1 overall, Marblehead is unbeaten at 6-0 overall. The game features two outstanding runners; Jack Fabiano of Masco (23 TDs) and Breydan Callahan of Marblehead. (9 TDs). Other games to watch: St. John’s Prep at Malden Catholic, Amesbury at Ipswich, Pentucket at North Reading, and Salem at Winthrop. In the Cape Ann League tonight, Triton plays at Newburyport and the game features Triton running back Carl Lucy who has rushed for over 1,000 yards this season while scoring 19 touchdowns.
The Marblehead volleyball team wrapped up their regular season with a 3-1 win over Swampscott. The Magicians ended league play at 12-0 and overall they stand at 16-2. Erin Wilder and Mari Modryznksa turned in big performances for Marblehead in their win over Swampscott.
The Salem State men’s ice hockey team has been picked to finish third in the MASCAC this season. They will open their schedule November 1st at Suffolk. The Vikings home opener will be Sunday November 2nd when they host Endicott College. Gloucester native Conner Vittands is expected to see ice time in nets for Salem State.
The Bruins lost to the Ducks last night 7-5, after opening the season 3-0 the Bruins have now lost six straight games.
The Celtics were off last night; tonight they play in New York tonight against the Knicks.
