🦞 Gloucester Police Department invites residents to attend the 2025 Gloucester Lobster Crate Race this Saturday, July 26, at 10:30 a.m.
This race’s fees and any donations made at the event will be gratefully accepted with proceeds directly benefiting the Boston Children’s Hospital.
The race takes place on Pavilion Beach in front of the Beauport Hotel, 55 Commercial St. Participants run across a string of lobster crates floating on the water. There are five divisions: featherweight, up to 75 pounds, lightweight, 76-125 pounds; medium-weight, 126-175 pounds; and heavyweight, 176 pounds; and municipal employees.
Anthony Saputo will narrate. Food trucks and Lobster Crate Race t-shirts will be available for purchase.
Although registration for the race are closed, all are welcome at this free event. Runners can start arriving at 9:30 a.m. to pick up registration bracelets and T-shirts.
