City of Saleml UPDATE: Summer Eats Kickoff

Due to the extreme heat forecasted for Tuesday, June 24, the Salem Summer Eats Kick-Off has been postponed to Tuesday, July 1st, (4-6 p.m.) at Mary Jane Lee Park.

HOWEVER…We will still be serving free meals to children 0-18 Tuesday and throughout the rest of this week at Mary Jane Lee Park. We are using the USDA “Extreme Heat Grab and Go” waiver that allows us to feed grab-and-go style meals.

Families are encouraged to have their child take a meal. Due to the weather, children can take the whole meal with them; they do not have to eat their meal at the park like they do under normal circumstances.
