2016 Football In Beverly – New Coach at High School – Endicott College Opens Season Saturday at Framingham State – Radio & Video

BEVERLY – (Radio – Video – Photos) Beverly High School and Endicott College are gearing up for opening games in the days ahead. Endicott opens their season this Saturday at Framingham State under second year head coach Kevin DeWall while Beverly High led by first year coach Andrew Morency will host Wakefield Saturday 9/10 at Hurd Stadium. Below are updates on both programs.


Endicott College Football

BEVERLY – The Endicott football team begins its 2016 season this Saturday on the road against Framingham State University at 12 p.m.

RETURNING CAST  Led by a senior class of 12, the Gulls return a bevy of leadership within that group including co-captains Craig Anderson (Franklin, Mass.) and Chris Lipscomb (West Springfield, Mass.). Alongside Anderson and Lipscomb, who both will look to guide the defensive line and wide receiver corps, respectively, this season, offensive linemen Chris Bertoni (Duxbury, Mass.) and Tanner Robinson (York, Maine), defensive lineman John Fortes (North Reading, Mass.), linebackers John Pendergast (Medfield, Mass.) and Connor McLaughlin (Canton, Mass.), wide receivers Jake Pelletier (Trumbull, Conn.), Thomas Connors (Amesbury, Mass.), Conor Crotty (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.), Greg Cummings (South Easton, Mass.), and safety Rasheed Adigun (Salem, N.H.) will all be tasked with making major contributions towards the program, on and off the field, in their final seasons on the squad.

BEVERLY – Beverly High School football coach Andrew Morency is a former Panther player and a member ofPanthers the school’s hall of fame. The former Hamilton-Wenham head coach is taking over at Beverly High School and his team’s first game is Saturday 9/10 vs. Wakefield at Hurd Stadium.
